I loved everything about this book here and I was really interested in seeing how this author would write this story and develop the story and the way it would differ from her more recently released releases and I have to say I love the charm and the higher level of heat that she uses and in Slightly Scandalous we see a story that just has this gritty feel to it with the same level of charm, regency authenticity and a romance you can cheer on, Summaryįreyja Bedwyn has four brothers that she has had to compete with and even as much as she loves them she needs some distance from them and from a heart hurting when a man she thinks that she loves chose another woman to love. I really wanted to explore it more and see how I would enjoy these older books from this series and I grabbed this one in audio and I am really happy that I did because It just ended up being such a win I am not sure if it was the book or the narration or a combination of both but it ended up being such a win of a read. I have been meaning to return to this series, I have seen lately quite a bit of creators talk about this series lately and it helps me realize that I have been neglecting it in that I haven’t read it at all.

I personally loved the triplets, especially as they simultaneously became darker. It's easy to keep the three personalities separate, even as they all three descend into a sort of maddening obsession with Landry. Webster did an excellent job at writing Scout, Sully, and Sparrow's points of view each triplet is kind of unhinged in their own way and each one responds differently to Landry. I really enjoyed the whole premise, and the deeper we got into the triplet's perspectives, the darker things became. Triple Threat delicately toes the line between what's safe and dangerous, what's innocent and perverse. As the triplets' past starts repeating itself, Landry finds herself on a rollercoaster of emotions: over her father's moods, her sister's safety, and the boy who seems to have three very different - and very dark - personalities. But then, acting as one, they meet Landry. On a mission to ruin the family that destroyed theirs, Sully, Sparrow and Scout will stop at nothing. The Mannford triplets, however, want to get in. Landry just wants to get her little sister and get out. If only her father didn't keep her like a prisoner, locked in her ivory tower, at the whim of his drunken tantrums. Rich, gorgeous - the world is hers for the taking. On the surface, Landry Croft's life is perfect. Buhler also enjoys the fact that cyber technician Lommie has a surgically implanted neuroport in her left arm to directly interact with the ship’s computer program. It was important for Buhler to include details like “L-1” telepaths, human beings who have mutated into the most powerful and feared versions of telepaths. But those science fiction tropes still matter greatly to the show. All of the science fiction trappings are elaborate framing mechanisms for a straightforward horror story about being trapped in an unwanted place, particularly once people start dying. Still, the central premise of Nightflyers is simple enough. “There’s a lot going on, right?” Buhler concedes. Read the Den of Geek SDCC 2018 Special Edition Magazine Here!
